Now that Reece has entered her 2nd grade year, she has bridged from Daisy’s into Brownies. Now she gets to wear this fancy brown sash and earn patches for her good deeds. These patches don’t magically appear. In fact, I had to call my mom in for support to get the patches on last weekend for her first meeting this week. The patches are iron-on….yes you read that right…the patches require no sewing what-so-ever but I still called my mom over for moral support. I was deathly afraid of putting them in the wrong spot or ironing a hole in the sash. This is important stuff you know! One wrong move on that sash and I would have a 7 year old in tears!
At our first meeting we learned about eating good nutritious foods and each girl made their own cute little person out of the food.
Then we made flyers to use to collect donations for Harvesters food bank!
Reece collected lots of donations by going to the neighbors and asking family for help. Great job Reece!!
This evening we dropped all of our donations off at the Harvesters truck and caught a few pictures of her Brownie troop…aren’t they adorable!?
Way to go Troop 394, you girls did a great job helping the community!
