My dad for some reason doesn’t want to see his family!  Seriously, are we that unpleasant to be around!?  He’s always trying to get us to “bundle” or “batch” our family birthday celebrations.  I’ve “bundled” my birthday my whole life…I’m a twin!   His preference is to get together quarterly and celebrate any birthdays that fall into that time frame…better yet…semi-annually.  I don’t understand why we should cut down on celebrations….who doesn’t love an excuse to party!?  Ok so maybe realistically, it’s just hard to find a space on the calendar…I totally get it.  Quite honestly, it’s our calendar that causes 99% of the scheduling problems.  For that reason, I’m pretty sure we’re about to be banished from all future celebrations!
