We were paid up and registered for another parent-kid golf tourney at Burning Tree in DeSoto, but last minute, it was cancelled because we were the only ones signed up! They continue to offer these tourney’s to raise money for the hitting net they acquired. We decided to go ahead and donate our money and still play golf on our own. We made our own scramble with our teams…
Reece & Brian – “All Stars”
Carrie & Morgan – “Frog Jumpers”
Drew & Papa – “Champs”
Jake & Nanny – “Little Rickie’s”
Greg & Collin

It ended in a 3 way tie but Brian claims he and Reece are the winners by virtue of scorecard playoff.

Let’s just say Morgan and I were not playing our best golf. Our motto is “it’s ok” and “we had some good shots.” I’m going with it was too stinkin’ cold. You see I’m wearing a North Face puffy coat, jeans, and covered in a blanket on the golf course. These are not ideal conditions and I also haven’t picked up a golf club in quite sometime. Of course I’m deservedly the brunt of many jokes. I just love being with all of these people, so I can take it….bring it on.

Don’t worry, one of these days, Morgan and I will pull it together and play a great round, right MoMo!?
Earlier in the day I got to have a ‘date day’ with Drew and a friend! Every year the school puts on a mom-son night and we were unable to go due to soccer practice. So, we made our own date and went out for lunch and to Dave & Busters…way better than hanging out at the school right!?

And this very sweet brother turned in all of his 600+ tickets to get this sequin color changing journal for Reece. She’s been dying for one of these and he absolutely made her day…and mine for being so kind!
