On April 17, 1996, Brian and I officially started dating at Kansas State University!  Doing some quick and easy math, we have been together for 20 years already.  How did that happen!?  This summer we will be married 16 of those years.  Time is officially flying by which is another reason I wanted to start journaling a few things.  I may be too late since Morgan is going on 13.  I do have baby books for all 4 of them and some journaling of life events and I definitely have a ton of pictures to document what has been happening.  But I’m trying to get into the electronic age and start something my kids could read later without having to dig out a box of photos and a baby book.  I truly hope they do dig out their memory boxes but since the likelihood of that is pretty slim, why not put a few tid bits out in cyber space.  I can’t go back in time because it would take me the rest of my life to start at the beginning, so here we are in the Spring of 2016.  Every April 17th, Brian delivers me a bouquet of beautiful tulips which is my all-time favorite flower.  I would have an entire yard of tulips if I could.  I probably don’t have to spell this out but Brian is the most thoughtful person I’ve ever known.  I’m sure we used to probably go out and have a fun night out on April 17th as well but let’s be real, I think for years we really have been at the ball park with dust in our teeth and our kids begging for concession stand junk food and a meltdown or two.  I’ll take it.  These are life moments that we will wish back later on…I know I will at least.
